Big Major Build Release!

I hope you all were able to have a happy and safe New Years Break and like me, also hoping for a most-pleasant 2025! But to kick off 2025, I bring you all,  build v2.0A of the closed beta for Rinoa Quest. One of the greatest ways to kick this off is because storywise, I have a plan on where Rinoa will go after where I am working on. Recently, I wanted to revisit the idea of an open-choices the player can make after they obtain the military liner, the S.S. Keyboat. Giving the players more choices will without effecting the linear story will still allow for the plot to develop further, for that staying linear will make the player still have a lesser sense of freedom. If anybody wants to become a beta tester, you are more than welcome to message me to request the passcode as this is a restricted beta. I don't want to give it to just... anybody as this is a game in development and is for use in testing, noting, and inspiration purposes.

That aside, I do continue to experiment with new features such as the cooking mechanic which will be fully accessible once Helen becomes a party member. Similar to many games with one, cooking and meal prep allows for the party to obtain buffs, restore HP and MP, and ultimately develops as the player continues their journey. I still want to find a flow to the number of recipes the player will obtain. Maybe have some missable recipes, similar to how I also planned out sidequests and optional visits during part of the story. Overall, I want to experiment further with plugins so I can make some more mechanics to further enhance the experience as Rinoa Poison fights the evil Suppoat Empire.

That being said, I do want to close off the update with something our honorary artist in the development team Roadside Arts cooked up for us prior to the release of build v2.0A. You already see it in the front cover.
